At least nine mass shootings erupted over the weekend across the United States, leaving nine people dead and at least 60 wounded, authorities said.
The mass-casualty shootings occurred in Colorado, Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Arizona, Tennessee, and two in Minnesota.
Among the incidents, one occurred in the parking lot of Waffle House in Newark, Delaware, while others unfolded during a party at an Oklahoma City restaurant, outside an event center in Minneapolis, and in a park in Jackson, Tennessee, according to law enforcement.

A shooting in Denver unfolded early Monday in the parking lot of a nightclub and left one person dead and eight wounded, according to the Denver Police Department.
All of the injured victims were hospitalized and were believed to be in serious but stable condition, according to police.

Denver Police Chief Ron Thomas said during a news conference on Monday that the shooting occurred around 1 a.m. in the parking lot of the Ultra Lounge in southeast Denver.
Evidence collected at the scene suggests that at least two weapons were fired during the shooting, police said.
Thomas said no suspects have yet been identified and it remains unclear whether the victims were bystanders or were involved in the deadly confrontation.

Shooting breaks out during a party leaving 2 dead, 3 injured
In Oklahoma City, a shooting broke out at a restaurant early Sunday and left two people dead and three injured, the Oklahoma City Police Department said in a statement.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting around 12:31 a.m. during a party at the Dos Cinco restaurant in the city’s historic Capitol Hill district, authorities said.
A preliminary investigation indicates that an altercation occurred during the party and escalated into an exchange of gunfire.
No arrests have been announced.
The Dos Cinco restaurant posted a statement on social media, calling the shooting an “unimaginable tragedy.”
The restaurant said it conducted security screenings at the entrance of the building, but firearms were somehow brought into the establishment. The business said it turned all of its surveillance footage over to the police and is cooperating with the investigation.
12 shot, 3 fatally, in Tennessee park
More than 100 people were gathered at the Savannah Williams Park in Jackson, Tenn., on Sunday night, when gunfire erupted, Madison County Sheriff Julian Wiser said at a news conference on Monday morning.
Wiser said sheriff’s deputies were called to the park around 11 p.m. and found two people dead at the scene. He said a third person was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The sheriff’s said nine other people suffered gunshot wounds.
“Initially, it appears it is gang-related,” Wiser said.
He said investigators are combing through video surveillance footage taken from cameras in the park in an attempt to identify suspects.
Wiser said it appears shootings occurred in two different locations in the park. He said witnesses reported that in one of the shootings, a rifle was fired multiple times at victims from a vehicle.
No arrests have been announced.
9 shot in downtown Tucson
Nine people were critically injured early Sunday when a gunman opened fire in a busy entertainment district in Tucson, Arizona, before police officers shot him and stopped the threat, authorities said.

2 gunmen sought in shooting that left 6 injured in Baltimore
Police are trying to identify two gunmen who opened fire on a group of people gathered under a tree in a south Baltimore neighborhood on Sunday night, authorities said.
The shooting unfolded around 9:45 p.m. in the Mt. Winans neighborhood, Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley said at a news conference on Sunday night.

Worley said a group of people was hanging out under a tree when two suspects pulled up in a car, got out and opened fire on the victims.
Six people ranging in age from 17 to 21 suffered gunshot wounds, Worley said. The commissioner said none of the victims sustained life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made, and a motive remains under investigation.
“All we know is they pulled up to the corner, got out and just opened fire randomly at the victims,” Worley said.
2 people killed, 7 injured in Asheville, North Carolina
Police in Asheville, North Carolina, are attempting to identify those responsible for a shooting early Sunday that left two people dead and seven wounded.
The shooting occurred around 2:20 a.m. in a parking lot near downtown Asheville, where a large group of people had gathered after area bars had closed, authorities said.
“At this time, evidence developed by investigators indicates that the shooting may have been related to a prior gun violence incident,” police said in a statement.
Two victims died at the scene, and seven were being treated at an area hospital, police said.
No arrests were announced.
Back-to-back mass shootings in Minneapolis leave 1 dead, 14 injured
Police in Minneapolis, Minn., are investigating back-to-back mass shootings on Sunday that combined left one person dead and 14 injured, authorities said.
The first shooting occurred around 8:20 p.m. local time in front of a business in the Steven Square neighborhood of the city. A 28-year-old victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Four other men, ranging in age from 24 to 43, were also hospitalized with gunshot wounds, police said.
The incident followed a mass shooting that occurred around 12:27 a.m. on Sunday and left nine people injured outside an event center in southwest Minneapolis, according to police. The victims included seven men and two women, ranging in age from 18 to 27, according to police.
A preliminary investigation indicates the shooting followed an altercation that occurred among a large crowd outside the Reign Event Center, according to police.
Police said they have found no evidence connecting the two shootings.
No arrests have been made.
Waffle House parking lot shooting injures 6 people
