Zelenskyy to meet Trump at White House next week, official says

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday, a White House official confirmed to ABC News Saturday.

Zelenskyy will be in Washington, D.C., next week to attend Sen. Lindsey Graham’s funeral, a Ukrainian official told ABC News.

Zelenskyy and the South Carolina Republican had been close, and Graham had visited Ukraine in the days before his death two weeks ago.

News of the visit comes as the Ukrainian president claimed on social media Saturday that he was directing Ukraine’s intelligence services to share information regarding Russia’s assistance of Iran amid the ongoing war with the U.S.

In an English post on X, Zelenskyy said that since the beginning of July, Ukraine had recorded Russian satellite surveillance of Arab Gulf allies and U.S. military facilities in the region.

He alleged that “there is a clear correlation between Russia’s satellite imagery of these sites and Iranian strikes – both before the attacks, in preparation for them, and afterward, to assess the damage inflicted.”

The White House did not respond to questions about Ukraine’s allegations or whether they had received the Ukrainian intelligence Zelenskyy cited.

Trump insisted Friday that he trusted that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping were not helping Iran in any “major” way.

“Well, I don’t know that they’re enabling. I mean, I will tell you that President XI said he will not partake. And President Putin said the same thing,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Friday after being pressed on whether he agreed with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s assertion that Russia and China were “enabling” Iran to various degrees.
