Tyson Fury was lighter than his opponent at the weigh-in for the first time in 15 years as he prepares to fight Mariusz Wach in Thailand on Friday.
The Briton tipped the scales at 18st 13lb (120kg) – 26lb less than veteran Wach’s 20st 11lb (132kg) – before the heavyweight bout.
Fury, 37, will fight the 46-year-old in Pattaya in front of about 1,500 fans and without a television broadcaster.
“I’m Mr Slim now. I’m delighted to be here and there are fans here from all over the world,” Fury said.
It is only the fourth time in Fury’s professional career he has weighed less than his opponent. The previous occasion was in his first fight against Derek Chisora in 2011.
He was also lighter than John McDermott and Daniil Peretyatko during a career spanning more than 17 years and 38 professional fights.
