The Boston Red Sox fired manager Alex Cora after a 10-17 start to the season, sources told ESPN’s Jeff Passan on Saturday.
The Red Sox also fired coach Peter Fatse, bench coach Ramon Vazquez and game-planning coach Jason Varitek, sources said.
Cora, 50, was in his eighth season with Boston and finishes with a record of 619-541. He guided Boston to a World Series championship in his first season with the team in 2018.
