‘Looksmaxxing’ influencer Clavicular pleads not guilty to Massachusetts rape charges

“Looksmaxxing” influencer Clavicular pleaded not guilty in Massachusetts court Thursday to criminal rape charges stemming from an alleged May 2025 incident at this family’s house in Cape Cod.

Clavicular, 20, whose real name is Braden Peters, was charged with rape, drugging someone for sexual intercourse and procuring liquor for someone under 21 years old, according to a criminal complaint filed on Sept. 8 in Orleans District Court in Barnstable County, Massachusetts.

Aleksandra Vasilevna Mendoza, an 18-year-old influencer known online as Alorah or Alorah Ziva, alleged that last May, when she was 17 and in Massachusetts, Peters called her an Uber to his family’s home in Chatham, a beachfront town in Cape Cod.

When Mendoza was at Peters’ home, she alleged, he got her drunk with vodka during a livestream on Twitch and then raped her while she was asleep, the criminal complaint from the Chatham Police Department said. At the time, his mother and grandmother were allegedly in the house.

A representative and Peters’s lawyer declined to comment ahead of the arraignment. Mendoza’s lawyer also declined to comment.

Peters has previously denied any wrongdoing and defended himself in a series of posts on X.

At his Thursday arraignment, a judge set bail for Peters at $10,000 after his defense team filed a memo in Orleans District Court on Wednesday asking for “fair and reasonable bail” in that amount. In it, his attorney argued that Peters is neither a danger to the community nor a flight risk and pointed out that he has no history of felony criminal convictions.

A court clerk confirmed Thursday that Peters paid the $10,000 bail in cash.

The criminal charges follow a civil suit Mendoza filed in Miami last year in which she accused Peters of sexual battery in connection with the alleged May 2025 incident in Cape Cod. In the civil suit, she also alleged he injected her face with a non-FDA-approved fat-dissolving substance during a November livestream in Florida.

A source familiar with the matter confirmed that the criminal charges against Peters stem from Mendoza’s allegations.

Earlier this month, Mendoza refiled her civil lawsuit and dropped the sexual assault allegations against Peters. At the time, her lawyer said it was to avoid interfering with the criminal case in Massachusetts.

The Wednesday memo from Peters’ team also lays out his defense, arguing that Mendoza willingly created social media content with Peters and previously described him to her followers as “so nice.” The memo also says she continued to hang out with Peters and profit from their relationship after the alleged Cape Cod incident in May 2025.

The filing also includes a letter allegedly handwritten by Mendoza, in which she allegedly wrote, “Braden, you have my loyalty 100% … I admire the man you are,” and added that she wanted to continue working with Peters.

In screenshots of messages between Peters and Mendoza included in the filing, Mendoza appeared to imply she wanted to engage in a romantic relationship with Peters.

By early 2026, Peters’ lawyer alleged, Mendoza’s brand deals were drying up as Peters’ success continued to grow. She then filed the civil suit, the filing said.

When she reported the alleged rape to Chatham police in June 2026, she told officers she had not undergone a sexual assault forensic examination. She told police she told one friend about the alleged assault, then later changed her story and said she never told anyone about it, according to the memo.

This is not Peters’ first run-in with the law.

Peters and two other people were charged in Florida in April with shooting at an alligator. He and another person pleaded no contest to unlawfully discharging a firearm in public and were given six months of probation and ordered to serve 20 hours of community service, according to NBC South Florida.

He was also hospitalized in April in Miami after a suspected overdose, according to his representative.
