Goaltender Mat Robson produced a superb display but was unable to prevent Great Britain from sliding to a 4-0 defeat against Finland at the Ice Hockey World Championship.
Finland opened the scoring in the first minute when Ville Heinola blasted home from the left point, but Robson held the opposition at bay for the remainder of the period.
Heinola added a second midway through the game after Robson briefly lost his stick before Mikko Lehtonen scored Finland’s third.
Coventry Blaze tender Robson, 30, continued to frustrate Finland with some brilliant stops, including a breakaway save from Sakari Manninen.
Henri Jokiharju rounded off the scoring late in the third period as Finland secured a fifth successive victory of the tournament.
GB are winless in five games and bottom of Group A, with fixtures against Latvia and Germany to come on 24 and 25 May.
