Beau Greaves is first woman to qualify for European Tour event

Beau Greaves created more darts history by becoming the first woman to qualify for a PDC European Tour event.

In a qualification double-header in Leicester, the 22-year-old beat Tom Bissell 6-4 in the European Tour 11 qualifier to secure a place in the Hungarian Darts Trophy tournament in August.

She went on to edge Lukas Wenig 6-5 in the European Tour 12 qualifier to book a spot in the Czech Darts Open in September.

It is the latest in a list of achievements for Doncaster’s Greaves which include her becoming the first woman to win a PDC ranking title when she beat Michael Smith in April.

She is also the first woman to hit a nine-dart finish on the PDC ProTour, having done so in a win against Mensur Suljovic in February.
