The Carolina Panthers are trading veteran quarterback Andy Dalton to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a 2027 seventh-round pick, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Panthers signed Kenny Pickett last week to back up starter Bryce Young, making Dalton expendable.
In Philadelphia, Dalton will join a depth chart that includes starter Jalen Hurts and backup Tanner McKee.
Dalton, 38, appeared in four games last season, making one start when Young was injured. He completed 67.6% of his pass attempts for 293 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He had spent the past three seasons with the Panthers.
The 15-year veteran has thrown for 39,793 yards in his career with 254 touchdowns and 151 interceptions.
