Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and other top intelligence officials are back in the hot seat on Capitol Hill to testify about worldwide threats amid the U.S. war against Iran.
Gabbard avoided answering questions from Democratic senators on Wednesday about President Donald Trump’s claim that Iran posed an “imminent threat” to the U.S.
“It is not the intelligence community’s responsibility to determine what is and is not an imminent threat,” Gabbard argued. “That is up to the president, based on a volume of information that he receives.”
Gabbard, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, FBI Director Kash Patel and other national security officials are appearing before the House Intelligence Committee on Thursday.
This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
