In this game, shooters shoot — and we’re not talking about basketball.
One might imagine that it would be difficult to get through to Cameron Brink by social media DM, considering the amount of followers she has. So her now-fiancée Ben Felton had an alternative way of getting the now-Los Angeles Sparks forward’s attention.
While they were still classmates at Stanford, where Brink was the star player who helped lead the Cardinal to two national title games in four seasons and Felton was on the rowing team, he didn’t take the direct message approach to pursue Brink. Instead, he sent her an email.
“Hey Cameron, Wanted to chat you up but I think dms are a bit creepy. Not that an email is much better so here’s my number,” Felton wrote in the email, including his digits at the end.
Safe to say, Felton made his shot.
The couple has been dating since March 2021 and got engaged in September 2024, when Felton proposed to Brink at the Shangri-La Paris Hotel in Paris. He surprised her with the engagement after Brink participated in a Balenciaga fashion show during Paris fashion week, according to Yahoo.
While the couple haven’t gotten married just yet, Brink says she hopes the two can say “I do” at the memorial church on Stanford’s campus where they met, according to People.
