Kaia Gerber revealed that she once underwent an exorcism after her parents believed she was “haunted” as a child.
Gerber, the 24-year-old model and actor, recalled the unusual experience during an interview on The Mitch Churi Chat Show to promote her new FX series “The Shards.”
While discussing a previous role on “American Horror Story,” Gerber said her mother, supermodel Cindy Crawford, was concerned about the horror anthology series.
She said Crawford sent her to set with holy water and told her, “I don’t want you to get possessed.”
Gerber then added, “I was told I was possessed as a child.”
She went on to describe what she said was a lifelong connection to the supernatural.
“I just was possessed. I was haunted, my whole life,” she said. “I do feel that I attract beings from the other dimension, in a very casual and chill way.”
The exorcism, she explained, involved a didgeridoo, a traditional wind instrument developed by Aboriginal peoples in Australia.
“They played a didgeridoo all over me. That’s how they did the exorcism,” she said.
Gerber told the interviewer that she had never publicly shared the story before, “but that actually did happen.”
As well as TV work on “The Shards” and “American Horror Story,” Gerber has had film roles in the 2023 comedy “Bottoms” and the 2024 “SNL” dramatization, “Saturday Night.”
