Glamorgan beat League Two rivals Middlesex to reach T20 Final

The performance was a return to form for Glamorgan, who had edged a last-ball win over Leicestershire the previous week after losing to Kent and Tier One side Hampshire in recent outings.

Middlesex chose to bowl and Jeanes took a few balls to get herself in before leading the way to 66 in the powerplay six overs.

Parfitt hit nine boundaries by the time she was trapped lbw by Hannah Davis in the 10th over, with Glamorgan already on the way to a powerful total on 97-1 at halfway.

Megan Sturge was out for six, but Jeanes and Bethan Gammon (31) powered on in a partnership of 56.

Jeanes struck 11 fours and a six before being stumped charging at Lauren Turner (2-22), who took two wickets in the 19th over.

Middlesex limped to 23-3 in the powerplay, with Scarlett Hughes and leading scorer Saskia Horley unable to make the most of dropped chances.

Eve Jackson, Glamorgan’s only seamer, claimed wickets in her first two overs, while Horley (12) chipped Gemma Porter to mid-wicket.

Riva Pindoria and Pippa Sproul halted the slide but only had 48 on the board at the halfway stage, and Jackson returned to bowl Pindoria for 19.

Sproul holed out to mid-off, off Sara Phillips, to signal the end of any remaining hopes for the visitors

It was a surprisingly one-sided contest given that Middlesex beat Glamorgan in two out of three meetings in 2025.

Finty Trussler (18) managed to get Middlesex into three figures, before Phillips, Jackson and Porter cleaned up the lower order, with Glamorgan’s catching letting them down as the only blemish on a commanding display.

Glamorgan complete their group campaign against Worcestershire Rapids on Sunday, 5 July, while Middlesex host Sussex Sharks at Radlett later the same day.
