Jio Studios and B62 Studios’ “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” has crossed INR1,622 crores ($174.4 million) worldwide through its third weekend, becoming the first Indian film to surpass $25 million in North America and €1 million ($1.1 million) in Germany.
The Aditya Dhar-directed spy-action sequel’s India gross stands at $132.1 million.
In Germany, the film established itself as the highest-grossing Indian title of all time in the territory by becoming the first to cross the €1 million threshold.
North America has delivered the sequel’s most historic overseas performance, with the film surpassing the $25 million barrier to claim both the first-to-milestone and all-time market records. The achievement eclipses S.S. Rajamouli’s “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion,” which previously held the North American record at $20.2 million. “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” has now grossed north of $26 million in the market.
The sustained performance demonstrates exceptional hold and continued audience demand across India and international territories. More than 80% of overseas screens retained the film into Week 2, with the sequel showing continued strength through Week 3.
The film’s global distribution strategy, backed by Jio Studios, maximized screen presence across traditional and emerging markets, capitalizing on peak demand windows. The sequel played across approximately 2,200 cinemas and 3,000 screens internationally without Gulf territories, where the film remains banned, expanding into non-traditional markets including Finland, Uruguay, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Chile, Mexico and Cyprus.
The sequel surpassed the overseas lifetime collections of “Dhurandhar” in just 10 days. On the all-time charts for Indian cinema, “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” now occupies fourth place above “Dhurandhar” and below “Dangal,” “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion,” and “Pushpa 2: The Rule.”
Ranveer Singh stars in dual avatars, with R. Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal, Arjun Rampal as ISI Major Iqbal, Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam, and Sara Arjun. Written, directed and produced by Dhar, with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar also producing, the film released in the Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.
