Tiger Woods in Car Accident; Car Rolled Over in Florida Crash

Golf star Tiger Woods was involved in a rollover car accident in Florida on Friday afternoon, according to local outlets.

The crash happened in Jupiter Island, Fla., near 281 Beach Road just after 2 p.m., according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. It is unclear if Woods was injured in the crash.

“According to a source at Martin County Fire Rescue, it was a two-car crash, one vehicle was a rollover. One person is stable, while another refused to go to the hospital,” reported local CBS affiliate WPEC 12. “MCFR said there are no injuries to anyone.”

This crash is the latest in a string of vehicular accidents by Woods. In 2021, he suffered serious leg injures and was hospitalized after another rollover car accident in Los Angeles. He underwent surgery after that crash, and paramedics had to use a rescue tool to extract him from his car.

In a 2017 incident, police found Woods asleep behind the wheel of a car improperly parked on the road. He pleaded guilty to reckless driving and attended a clinic to help with a sleep disorder and prescription medication. And in 2009 while he was driving an SUV, he ran over a fire hydrant crashed into a tree.

More to come…
