Three years after narrowly missing out on winning the World Baseball Classic, Team USA will be a sizable betting favorite to take the title in 2026, showing +100 odds at DraftKings Sportsbook.
Reigning champion Japan checks in next at +320, with the Dominican Republic coming in at +370. DR was the betting favorite going into the 2023 tournament with +210 odds.
Puerto Rico (+1300), Venezuela (+1500), and Mexico (+2200) comprise the third tier, with Canada and Mexico rounding out the reasonable contenders at +3500.
In the pool winner markets, USA and Japan are both commanding -1000 favorites to win Pool B and C, respectively, while Puerto Rico (-185) and Dominican Republic (-155) hold slimmer odds leads in Pool A and D, respectively. Canada (+400), Cuba (+600) and Colombia (+700) all are being given reasonable odds at winning A, while Venezuela (+120) is viewed as a true contender in pool D.
The World Baseball Classic begins Pool play on March 4 in Tokyo, Japan, with games also happening in Puerto Rico, Houston and Miami. Pool play concludes March 11 and the championship game will be played Tuesday, March 17 at loanDepot park in Miami.
