Milly Alcock, Yvonne Strahovski to Be Honored at G’Day USA Arts Gala

The American Australian Association and G’Day USA will honor Milly Alcock, Yvonne Strahovski and Olympian Ian Thorpe at this year’s G’Day USA Arts Gala.

Taking place on Feb. 26 at The Lot at Formosa in Hollywood, the annual black-tie event will be hosted by comedian Monty Franklin.

Alcock will be presented with the Rising Star Award, honoring her rapidly ascending career and standout performances in film (“Superman,” “Supergirl”) and on television (“House of the Dragon”).

Strahovski will receive the Excellence in Film and Television Award in recognition of her work across television and film, highlighted by her Emmy-nominated role in “The Handmaid’s Tale.” She first rose to global prominence with “Chuck,” with additional credits including “Stateless,” “The Tomorrow War” and “Teacup.”

Thorpe will be honored with the Global Impact Award, recognizing his extraordinary athletic legacy and ongoing influence beyond sport, with a special acknowledgment of Australia’s role as host of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.

Australian recording artists Boy Soda, Thelma Plum, Gordi and Vanessa Amorosi are set to perform at the gala.

The 2026 G’Day USA Arts Gala will raise funds for the American Australian Association and its Arts Fund, which provides scholarships and professional development opportunities for emerging American and Australian artists.

The Gala also marks a new era of leadership for the Association under its recently appointed president, The Hon Steven Marshall AO, former Premier of South Australia.

For more than two decades, the G’Day USA Arts Gala has celebrated Australian excellence in the United States, honoring leaders in film, television, music, sports and culture while fostering cross-Pacific collaboration.

Presenting sponsors include FOX, IREN, News Corp, Qantas, Stan, Screen Australia and Tourism Australia.
