30 people feared killed in Russian bomb attack on bus in eastern Ukraine


A bomb killed at least 30 people on a bus in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk, authorities said, amid intensifying Russian attacks throughout the country.

Another 18 people were wounded, Ukraine’s National Police said. He earlier shared images of a charred bus wreckage and blurred bodies strewn next to it.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia struck “an ordinary public transport stop” in Kramatorsk with an aerial bomb.

Kramatorsk is part of Ukraine’s industrial Donbass region, which has been central to President Vladimir Putin war plans.

Civilian casualties have surged as Russia intensifies attacks across the Ukraine, and Ukrainian forces run low on munitions for its Patriot Missile batteries, which have been crucial to the country’s defenses.

On Wednesday, a missile strike on a residential building in the north of the country killed 22 people, including five children.
